Edsel Ford
Edsel Ford was Henry Ford 's only son. Edsel Ford is sometimes credited as Edsel Bryant Ford or Edsel B Ford. Edsel Ford was born on November 6, 1893 to Henry Ford and Clara Ford (Clara Bryant). Unfortunately, Edsel Ford died early on May 26, 1943. Edsel Bryant Ford died even before his father, Henry Ford, did.
Life of Henry and Edsel Ford
Henry Ford was tough on Edsel Ford. Henry Ford did not allow Edsel Ford to go to College. Edsel Ford was Henry Ford's only child and was destined from a very young age to carry on his father's business at Ford Motor Company. Edsel Ford became the secretary of Ford Motor Company in 1915 and president shortly after. Although Edsel Ford, like Henry Ford, was into cars, Edsel Ford was into more flashy cars than Henry Ford.
Edsel Ford 's bought the first MG motorcar imported to the US. In 1932, Edsel Ford had a v8 boat tailed speedster that was designed specifically for him. After Edsel Ford became the president of the Ford Motor Company, he introduced more modern cars to replace the Ford Model T but Henry Ford overruled his decisions on all occasions but in the end the new Ford cars were introduced.

Edsel and Eleanor Ford
On November 1, 1916, Edsel Ford married Eleanor Clay (later Eleanor Ford). Eleanor Clay was the niece of the department store owner, J. L. Hudson. They had a nice home at 2171 Iroquois St, in the Indian Village neighborhood of Detroit.
Ford Model A
Henry Ford left it to his son, Edsel Bryant Ford to design the body of this new Ford Model A. With the help of a good car designer, Jozsef Galamb, Edsel Ford managed to invent Ford Model A which became a success. Over 4 million Ford Model A cars were sold in the four years of its production.
