4th Grade Biography Reports

Question: What are some good biography ideas for my son?
He is 10, almost 11 and in the 4th grade. He has to do a biography report and I want him to choose who to do it on so he gets more excited about the report but I want to give him some good fun choices but I don't want the choices to be too difficult. Any good ideas?
Answer: How about Ibn al-Haytham? He was a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it—by reading his books. His development of the scientific method changed the world. A good, short (128-page) biography of him is "Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens.
