Question: Wedding reception locations in Southeast Michigan??
My fiance and I are looking for a reception site in southeast michigan. We have already seen MANY places, but cannot settle on anything. We are looking for a site that is not too "banquet hally" (if you know what I mean). One that has nice room that fits 200+, beautiful views, and excellent menu would be perfect. Country clubs are nice but most are member only. Other locations we have seen are Henry Ford Museum, cranbrook, meadowbrook, Northville country club, and War Memorial of Grosse Pointe. Our favorite place so far has been the Inn at St. John's (in Northville); unfortunately it is booked around the month we want (sept/oct '07). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Answer: My little sis had her reception at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The food was great. They had a suite upstairs. It may be a little to "hally" for you though. We did enjoy it.
