Answer: Not sure about his parents.
He was Julius Caesar's nephew & adopted son.
After Caesar's death, he formed the 2nd triumvirate with Marcus Antonius & another person. After falling out with Anotonius over power, the 2 fought in the Battle of Actium where saw Augustus triumphed against Anotonius & beame emperor of Rome.
The peace that came about during his reign was called the Pax Romana.
