Apostle Paul Shipwrecked

Question: The apostle Paul changed the message?
Christians, why do critics of the gospel say Paul changed the teachings of Christ? I mean c'mon, the man left his former life as a pharisee and persecutor of Christians to spread the teachings of our Lord. He himself then suffered persecution, he was mocked and ridiculed by his former peers, he was beaten, stoned, left for dead, boiled in oil, imprisoned, shipwrecked, and in the end he was beheaded. And the critics think he did all this to make people believe something he knew was a lie?
I know I will get the typical rude answers from the unbelievers, but this question is meant for God's people, of which I am thankfully one. Why do the critics believe this? How can they possibly believe a person would willingly subject himself to all this just to discredit Jesus? And how exactly do they think this worked? I just dont get it, I dont understand what they are thinking and where they get their so-called "logic".Answer: People in modern times have latched on to the "Paul was a heretic" fallacy because of Paul's speaking directly to homosexuality. If not for that none of them would care what Paul had to say. But even on cursory examination you'll find that Paul's teachings on morality were identical to those of Jesus.
It's a fallacious argument used against Christianity because people oppose the morality taught by Christianity. It goes no further than that.
Pauline history, culture and faith
Shot about 50 years ago, this photograph shows street decorations, made by the late Emanuel Debattista, in St Nicholas and St Ursula streets, Valletta for the feast of St Paul. A number of events will be held in the city from Sunday to mark the 40th anniversary of Għaqda tal-Pawlini and bring to a close celebrations marking the 1,950th anniversary of the arrival of St Paul in Malta.
