Apostle Paul Tarsus

Question: FOR THE JEWS: How do you view the Apostle Paul (Saul of Tarsus)?
In Christianity, Paul is the most prominent figure besides Jesus Christ. For, He is most responsible for the spread of Christianity. However, he was once a committed Jew who had an unrelenting ambition to destroy Christians, prior to being blinded by Christ on the road to damascus. So, I was wondering is he like the Judas Iscariot (betrayer) of Judaism?
Answer: Firstly, for SIRIUS - you are not a 'hebrew' because there is no longer any such group. The only 'hebrew' that exists is the hebrew language, spoken in Israel.
TO THE ASKER
- we don't take any view on Paul, he's rarely if ever mentioned. Neither Jesus or Paul play any part in Judaism. That said, those of us, like myself, who are interested in all religions, will of course learn about these historical figures.
Personally, I don't understand why Paul is not hailed as the true founder of Christianity, because he is responsible for the religion as we know it today. Jesus taught Judaism. Paul was the one who developed the Christian faith.
Faith in brief
The Interfaith Council will hold a community Thanksgiving service Sunday at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Hemet. Several faith traditions will be represented, and there will be a combined choir of 40 voices.
