Question: Do you think Coolio's stories are just lies designed to annoy everyone else?

I say this because I found out that Coolio was actually a bright kid at school and a bookworm. He wanted to join the gang to fit in, but was never really accepted.
Here is an extract from Coolio's biography from mtv.com:
"Coolio was born Artis Leon Ivey, Jr. on August 1, 1963, in the South Central L.A. area of Compton. As a young boy, he was small, asthmatic, highly intelligent, and a bookworm, which often made life outside the home difficult. His parents divorced when he was 11, and searching for a way to fit in at school, he started running with the Baby Crips and getting into trouble. Question: Richard Cole's "Stairway to Heaven" Zepp biography. How true is it really?

I'm reading this book right now and absolutely love it. It's really entertaining and I love hearing all the stories about my favourite band. BUT the other day I was reading reviews about it, and apparently Richard Cole fabricated and exageratted most of the stories he told in the book.
I read that John Paul Jones completely refuses to talk to Cole anymore just because of the book, and that Jimmy Page couldn't even read it because all the lies made him "fume with anger".
This is kind of dissapointing to hear- because as much as I am enjoying this book it's just not the same if most of it is lies.
Does anyone know any more info about the book? Is the lying true? And what about Robert Plant, did he have anything to say? Because I mean, I'm only on page 60, but so far Richard Cole is making Plant seem like he was a real egotistical jerk....
So, anyone know anything? Just curious:) Thanks!
Answer: Aw man, I was looking into buying that book, too. I agree, if it's all just a bunch of lies than I don't know if I wanna read it. I mean, if JPJ and Jimmy have problems with it I can only assume that they're telling the truth and Cole is lying. Apparently he paints Plant as hostile and arrogant. And you know what? Even if Plant was extremely arrogant, he deserved to be! Have you listened to him sing?!?! Lol. I don't think anybody will ever really know what went on, seeing as how Led Zeppelin never really did interviews or told tales. I guess it's all gonna have to be "he said she said." Unfortunately..

Answer: Jesus was a prophet, and as such "knew" the future.
Therefore, it was a certainty that Peter would eventually be converted, so Jesus could use the word "when" with confidence.
Many people say that God transcends time without fully understanding exactly what that means. It means that it is BOTH pre-destination and free-will; it is not one or the other. We have free-will in that we - in the moment - are free to CHOOSE our own destinies, while on the other hand we are pre-destined because God - who is NOT in the moment - already knows the results of our free-will choices.
Thus: While Judas still had the choice of whether or not to "betray" Jesus (and I personally believe that he really didn't betray him - any more than Peter did with his denials of him; all Judas really did was make it easier for the Pharisees to do what they had already made up their minds to do anyway), he couldn't NOT betray him because when God had said that he would, he really already HAD chosen to do so.
The same as with Peter's conversion, which hadn't yet happened when Jesus used the word "when," it couldn't NOT happen the way that it was prophesied, because it already HAD happened to the God for whom all things have already happened.
It is only a matter of our linear time until our FREE-WILL choices coincide with God's PRE-DESTINATION.

Although "Machine Head" did not answer your question about Jesus' prediction, he does have a point, because, whereas his statement about the book of 2 Peter is debated, the Gospels themselves are known to have been written well after the time that Jesus lived. Specifically, then, Luke 22:32 could have been written so as to give the impression that Jesus prophesied what was already known - even to men - to have happened, in an effort to make it more believable.
I'm not saying that it was - or even that I think that it was. I am only presenting both sides of the argument to you here.
It is up to you to decide which one to believe.
And although I agree with "Always Praising" that Peter was not called Satan, only that Satan was influencing Peter at the time, in any event you are not going to be held "accountable" for teaching false doctrine - primarily because the Church's OVERALL doctrine is - BIBLICALLY - just as questionable as is any other.

i guess you could tell thousands of things, i just want to know some If i am right the word germanic was created by Julius Cäsar, to describe the people living on the right side of the rhine river. And if i am also right, he wrote that there were clearly notes things to classify in celtics and germanics. So what were some cleary notes to differ in celtics and germanics? And some similarities?
A smiliarty i can only tink of were the way how both burried their deads, within cairns. Do you know some more similarities?

The Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university located in Delhi. It was founded in 1920 during the Khilafat and Non-Co-operation Movements, in response to Mahatma Gandhi's call for a boycott of all Government- sponsored educational institutions, and was later registered in 1939 as Jamia Millia Islamia Society. In 1962, it was declared as an institution deemed to be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

In Urdu language, Jamia means 'University', and Millia means 'National' .The known freedom fighter and Muslim theologian, Maulana Mehmud Hasan, laid the foundation stone of Jamia Millia Islamia at Aligarh on Friday, 29 October 1920. Hakim Ajmal Khan was elected the first chancellor of the university, while Mohammed Ali Jauhar was the first Vice-chancellor.

Jamia was born amidst the political crisis and it was felt that it would not survive the heat of the intense political struggle for the Indian independence. It also participated in the Bardoli resolution and sent volunteers across the country to motivate people to fight for the freedom of the country. As a result, the British government imprisoned many of its teachers and students. However, after the end of the 'Khilafat Movement', Jamia saw itself in a great crisis. Some thought it had achieved its mission, and others believed that the institution had lost its importance with the end of the non-cooperation and the Khilafat movements. Even the university's funds dried up. At that time, Hakim Ajmal Khan, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari and Abdul Majeed Khwaja, supported by Mahatma Gandhi, shifted Jamia from Aligarh to Karol Bagh in New Delhi in 1925. It is one of the top Universities In Delhi.

On 1 March 1935, the foundation stone for a the new building was laid at Okhla, New Delhi. In 1936, all institutions of Jamia were shifted to its new campus. It is one of the most reputed Universities in India. The university's basic emphasis was on using innovative education methods. Today, the university provides a large number of courses at school, undergraduate and postgraduate level. There are separate departments for Languages, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Law, Architecture, Dentistry and Fine arts. The strength of its faculty members is about 614, apart from 997 staff members. It has a student strength of about 10,400. Jamia not only attracts students from different parts from India but is also a favorite educational destination for a lot of foreign students too.

Technology continues to bring changes to our lives and many objects that people once placed great value in are being consigned to history. This has led people to speculate that the traditional type of book will be replaced by an electronic version; they point to the record industry as evidence to what will happen to books. Other people feel certain that the format of the book will also be completely revised because people no longer have the attention span to be wading through long narrative; they want something short and zappy. One other claim is that the future type of book will not be a static entity, but instead something that is constantly evolving with readers being able to interact with the text and the author constantly changing it to keep it up to date. These arguments do make a lot of sense, but here is why I feel certain that in some ways they are wrong; are at least not completely correct.

People frequently compare the traditional paper book to the record industry. To me this does not seem like a fair comparison because they are different in many ways. For one thing the book has been around a lot longer than recorded music. Humans have been enjoying books for many centuries while recorded sound is only just only been popular for over a hundred years or so. Recorded music has evolved rapidly during its history with different types of vinyl records leading to cassettes which developed to CDs and eventually to MP3s. People did become fond of different formats, but they were still having the same sort of listening experience only that it came with improvements. This is different than books because most readers claim that every attempt to develop an electronic reading device has always took away from the experience; people read electronic books for connivance and not because they offer a better way of reading. The big changes that have occurred with music have not happened with books and they don't really seem like to. The electronic book will become more popular, but it is unlikely to replace paper for many more years.

The next argument is that people want something much shorter that the traditional 60,000 to 120,000 word book. The reality is that there have always been some people who liked the short story over long narration. These days less people choose short stories and people now expect books to be longer; the average word count for a book was once about 60,000 but nowadays people feel shortchanged if it is anything less than 100,000.

The idea of the interactive book becoming more popular probably does have a lot of truth in it. New technology like Google Wave might herald some really exciting times ahead with readers being able to interact more with the story. These types of new technology will likely bring many new enjoyable ways of doing things, but they will likely just be a different way of reading rather than replacing the traditional book.
