The musicals we loved to hate have changed theater forever

They’re called “jukebox musicals.” More derisively, “popsicals.” And they’re changing theater for the bland. Thanks to the unending recycling of pop-star portfolios, the Aughts will go down as the decade when the musical, once the most original of American art forms, lost its originality.

Salvador Dali Biography Books

Salvador Dali Biography Books

Question: How did salvador dali become famous?

ok, i know he expelled himself for the school of fine arts in Madrid, and i know that he is now one of the most famous artists that ever existed. but what happened in between? how did he go from college drop-out, to a successful artist?
i read a book about his paintings with a short biography in the beginning but it didn’t mention how his fame actually started and im very curios.
plz only answer this question if you know for sure.
thank you :]

Answer: Dali was an extremely gifted painter and draughtsman with a natural talent and an enormous ego. He became impatient with the art school curriculum because he was convinced he was a better artist than any of his tutors. I don’t think he was a “drop-out” in the modern sense, and as he came from a moderately wealthy family never had to do the starving artist thing.
He first became “famous” in America, which up to this point had no real experience of Surrealism. That he was an inveterate showman and tireless at self-promotion was integral to this success. He would do almost anything to get public exposure and make money (Breton called him “Avida Dollars”) and he rapidly became the personification of the eccentric European artist for the American public.
The rest, as they say, is history.

PS. Most surveys of European art include his earlier and middle period work, but very few his later stuff. It’s basically considered to be clever kitsch.

Write Musicians Biography

Question: tell me about biography writing,is it only written after one dies?please help me.?

Am 20 years old and want to write a biography about my country’s musicians and politicians do you think i should go ahead.

Answer: Biographical writings can be either during a subjects life or after. Either are fine, but biographical writings demand accuracy and dispassionate examinations of the subjects lives. They cannot be glorification’s nor condemnations of the subject matter without proof and detail.

Prince Biography Music

Prince Biography Music

Our destination today is Vienna, capitol of Austria and one of the worlds most elegant cities. Our morning stop will be Salzburg home of Mozart and the powerful Prince Archbishops. Here we will meet a local guide for a walking tour around the old city. After checking into our hotel we will make our way to the opera house for time for dinner and a stroll around the center before our arrival at Palace Auersperg. This evening is one the most elegant of your life as we sit in a palace experiencing the greats o classical music.

Salzburg is an interesting city for many reasons with it’s architecture, culture, location and not least it’s history. Unlike most other parts of Austria a which came under the control of the Hapsburg Emperors, Salzburg was largely independent under the Prince Archbishops. They wielded both secular and ecclesiastical power.

The most famous of the Prince Archbishops was Wolf Dietrict, who left a magnificent legacy of building works before his imprisonment in the imposing Hohen Salzburg castle above the city.

Mozart’s birthplace, the main church. Market Square, Residence Platz and much more are highlighted on our walking tour. We finish in the market behind Mozart’s birthplace where I always recommend to people to do like the locals and have a sausage in the square. My favorite is called a Kassecraner with melting pieces of cheese in the sausage. With a cassekraner, semel roll, senf (Austrian Mustard) and a beer you will automatically become Austrian.

After lunch we take a drive to Vienna which follows the Danube Valley which gives me time to talk about numerous things of interest. After an afternoon stop on the Autobahn for a coffee and perhaps a cake.

From our afternoon break it is a short distance to our hotel. Built in the mid 1800’s this is a grand old hotel with real character and is situated very close to Schonbrunn Palace. After time to freshen up we drive to the city center for dinner and time to stroll the main walking street down to St Stephens Cathedral.

After dinner we drive around the ring to the Palaise Auersperg and take our seats in the Grand Ball room for what would best be described as a greatest hits recital of the great composers. Even if you are not a classical music fan give it a go once in your life as you can’t help be moved in some way by the occasion.
