Question: Need help on a list of Biographies!?

Hi All,

I need help on a list of Biography books that a 6 year old can read and write a book report on.She had read george washington before.It is a chapter book with may be 50 pages.It will be great if some can recommend any other books and intresting enough for a Ist grader.

Answer: Your best bet is to head to the local bookstore or library and peruse the biographies that they have to offer. There are a number of wonderful biographies in a whole series available. Easy Reader Biographies by Scholastic are very popular in the elementary library where I work. Better still to try to find someone she's already interested in (e.g. Walt Disney, Maurice Sendak, Dr. Seuss) and then head to the library to find a biography on that person in her reading level. If you have access to an elementary school library, that would be a great place to look.
