Question: HISTORY- PEOPLE LIKE GENGHIS KHAN?

Sorry for caps, but are there people in history that are incredibly interesting like Genghis khan? The way he was so brave and aggressive, he was a incredible man even if he was cruel. I mean back then, everyone was. That's why I like his life story, nothing like that happens today, but yet it's true facts, it's not a fictional novel.
They don't have to be dictators or evil, they don't have to have people hate them, or get their wife to be butchered up like in Idi Amin's case. Just completely interesting. It doesn't matter if they were born in the 1930's or 1450. Thanks so much. Oh just please not too famous, not hitler or guys you see in movies all the time. But still well known. Women would be cool. Doesn't matter though.

Answer: Joan of Arc, was she really speaking with god, was it a hoax, was she really a man? Rasputin another nasty guy but interesting. Lief Ericson, where did he really visit and not visit? Admiral Robert Perry (not sure if that name is correct) and his ordeal trying to find the North Pole. Queen Nefertiti and how she ruled, in some frescos she was depicted as a Pharaoh, with the beard and the cane and staff setup..... There are so many, history is filled with interesting people; nice and naughty.

Thomas Edison used to say that invention is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration. What he really meant was that the 99% perspiration was spent on the process of innovation and perhaps only at the last minute could he have a mental breakthrough to create something new.
