This just shows what incorrect things they are learning in their schools. On the short list of things people always come up with of what americans invented, the first car is always on the list. Henry Ford did not invent the first car! He was just the first American to invent a car. He actually just came up with the assembly line! Karl Benz, a German, not American engineer was actually the first inventor of the car. (Mercedes-Benz) It makes me sick how Americans drive down the streets eating Walkers crisps in their dull-coulored left-sided steering wheel cars to the nearest Mac Donalds, wanting to take credit for everything.
If an American say they didn’t know this, they’re chatting bollocks! Americans are always telling me this!

Question: did henry ford invent the first automobile?

Answer: No Henry Ford did not invent the first automobile. He did not mass produce the first automobile either. Henry Ford’s most important contribution was the first mass produced AFFORDABLE automobile through the use of the assembly line. This is what made the Ford motor company different and well know was the assembly line idea.

Question: Is it true that Ford might go bankrupt? How could we lose Henry Ford’s legacy?

Answer: Like GM, Ford lost its own legacy by giving up on leading the world in engineering and fuel economy and sticking to fuel-wasting SUVs and trucks for its profits. It can also be argued that Ford never had a legacy other than making cars cheap enough for a middle-class family to afford. Other car companies have picked up where Ford left off by offering more fuel-efficient (Honda, Toyota) or cheaper (Kia, Hyundai) alternatives.
