Question: Speech on Henry Ford help?

I have to do a 6-8 minute informative speech on Henry Ford but i'm not sure how to organize it. I need 3 or 4 main points in my speech. I guess one can be the assembly line and The Model T for another but what other main points could I use? and does anyone know any interesting facts that I can include in my speech. Thanks

Question: I live in the metro detroit area, need to find something for tweens, my grandkids are 12 n 13, will be here..?

next weekend for a week. Besides the normal Henry Ford Museum, Tigers, etc. Looking for less expensive activites to keep them busy, and it's been a long time since I've had kids that age so not sure what would be fun for them! Don't really want to ask them since a)they don't know the area, b)want to surprise them with some things! Is there anything fun down at the Detroit River Walk? I'm looking for the Canton/AA/Rom/Ypsi areas n surrounding cities. I'm aware of Rolling Hills water park, and the local Metro Waterparks. I'm wondering about festivals/carnivals or other activities that are a little less advertised. Thanks!

The Ford Foundation is a non-profit organization which promotes the existence of the "centrist" establishment, the same establishment which is advocating a bailout of the Ford Motor Company, which actually produces something of value, unlike the Ford Foundation.
How about we liquidate the Ford Foundation and give its $13.7 billion to the Ford Motor Company instead of giving Henry Ford's car company a bailout? This would save the Ford Motor Company and the jobs of its employees and would save us from a non-profit organization which shills for the powers that be. Obviously, this wouldn't save GM or Chrysler, although I'm sure we could liquidate other obnoxious non-profits if we wish to save them as well.
Answer: Sorry... but they actually have nothing to do with the Ford Motor Company.
While it was founded by the Fords, it is not funded or administered by the Ford Motor Company. In other words, it is not an "asset" of the Ford Motor Company, ergo, you cannot simply liquefy their assets to benefit the company.

Seale, 71, faces life in prison in the deaths of Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee. The 19-year-olds disappeared from Franklin County on May 2, 1964, and their bodies were found later in the Mississippi River.

Question: Should I tell Ford Motor Company about this?

Went looking at one of Henry Ford's old company on Woodward Ave in / near Detroit and I discovered a wallet in a wall with 56 dollars in it and a Picture I.D. of Henry ford with a love letter in the wallet to a lady he was going out with. Date of the letter is April 1910. Then I discovered a deed to the Ford Company. If I sign it do I own the company?
The Company in 1910 was in Highland Michigan just outside of Detroit.

Answer: If you trully found something take it to the police and report it. if no one claims it then the 56 dollars is yours but as for the deed I'm afraid your out of luck.

Answer: I wasn't able to find many quotes either: this may be because Ford didn't interact with many people--reportedly he was largely inaccessible to all but a trusted few, and access to him was controlled through his personal secretary, Ernest Liebold.
Ford bought a failing newspaper, "The Dearborn Independent", and required all Ford dealers to subscribe to it: at its peak, it had 700,000 subscribers. It was through a writer for the "Independent", William Cameron, that Ford's anti-Jewish views were promulgated, with Liebold reportedly approving all Cameron's articles prior to publication.
The "Independent" published a series of anti-Semitic articles later collected in book form as "The International Jew", as well as the notorious "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", which claimed to be the minutes of meetings of Zionists bent on world domination but was later exposed as a forgery by the imperial Russian secret police.
Ford is quoted as having said, “I know who caused the war (World War I)—the German-Jewish bankers! I have the evidence here. Facts! I can’t give out the facts now, because I haven’t got them all yet, but I’ll have them soon.”
Hitler was an admirer of Ford and "The International Jew", of which he had a personally annotated copy. Ford was the only American mentioned in Hitler's "Mein Kampf": "Every year makes them [the Jews] more and more the controlling masters of the producers in a nation of one hundred and twenty millions; only a single great man, Ford, to their fury, still maintains full independence. Ford apparently believed (a) that Jews controlled world finance, (b) that these international bankers were somehow linked w/ "Bolsheviks" (also presumably Jewish) in the labor movement, and (c) that Jewish resistance to becoming "Americanized" (i.e. assimilated) was subversive, as indicated in the following quotes:

In 1927 a Jewish attorney sued Ford and the "Independent" for defamation. Ford did not testify due to an auto accident, but his reputation was severely damaged; and although the case ended in a mistrial, Ford apologized, closed the "Independent" and made an out-of-court settlement. However, he publicly expressed enthusiasm for Nazi Germany and accepted a medal from them in 1938.

If you're looking for unique and charming homes in Austin, look to the Travis Heights neighborhood. It's in an urban part of town, but is very desirable because of the influx of young couples and local culture. It's nearby to downtown and the South Congress area which makes it a perfect location if you want to take in all that Austin nightlife has to offer. In fact, many residents are within walking distance of hip clothing stores, cutting edge restaurants and other exciting amenities.

Travis Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin, Texas, with the first ground being broke in 1913. It is located in south Austin and juts up next to Lady Bird Lake on the north, I-35 on the east, Congress Avenue on the west and Oltorf Street on the south. Since it's so close to the interstate, Travis Heights is a prime location for commuting or a good starting point for exploring other parts of the city. However, there are no Capital Metro bus stops in the area.

It was founded in 1913 but buildings didn't really start coming up until the 1920s. General Stacy donated the land for the park along Blunn Creek which today bears the name "Stacy Park." Stacy is also the name sake for "Big Stacy" a spring-fed pool and the "Little Stacy" park and swimming pool all within Travis Heights. Both were built as part of a WPA project during the 1930s.

Today, Travis Heights has a mixture of mansions, small homes and interesting apartment buildings, many of which date back nearly 100 years. It's considered to the most liberal, hip part of Austin and it attracts a diverse group of people, both young and old. It's definitely not typical suburbia in this neighborhood and perfect if you're looking for a home and neighbors that are outside of the box. In fact, Travis Heights' residents are among the biggest supporters of the "Keep Austin Weird" movement.

Travis Heights is services by a high school, middle school and elementary school. Students start at Travis Heights Elementary School and then attend Fulmore Middle School. Teens in the area go on to Travis High School.

Outdoor activity enthusiasts will enjoy the variety of different amenities. There is a free wading pool, a playground, tennis court, a volleyball court and a basket pall court at Little Stacy Park. Big Stacy Park, which is actually the smaller of the two, has a free swimming pool. There are also picnic tables and barbecue pits for outdoor meals.

Although there is plenty of shopping and restaurants in nearby South Congress, but Travis Heights also has many coffee shops of its own. For fine dining and more extensive restaurant experiences, you'll need to hop over to South Congress but it's only a few minutes away.

Travis Heights is perfect for the person who wants to live on the liberal and different side of town. With the average house price at $300,000, there's something for everyone here.

Reading stories to young children is already a great way to engage them while they are learning. Clouds- Circle your hands over one another which palms facing each other Wind aE" Sways your hands back and forth A lot of pieces of clothing and weather are mentioned throughout this book. When the story begins, a girl dresses herself for a warm, sunny day. Each page the weather changes and she has to change her clothing to be better dressed for the weather. Some of the weather descriptions that are discussed throughout the book include clouds, wind, and snow. Children will be able to learn about the different types of weather and how they should dress for each type. The repetition and rhythm in the book will keep children engaged in addition to seeing the different signs. For example, during each change of the weather, the child in the story says aEoeuh-ohaE� because she needs to change her clothing. Babies love saying this, and many times it is one of their first words when they begin to speak. Therefore, in addition to signing throughout the story, your child will also love repeating this on each page. Question: Not very good with internet yet. How do I ask someone at Henry Ford Museum questions. Have a 47 from WWII yrs.

I have a 47 Ford pickup with a 226 engine (not the more popular 223). Want to know if it is rare at all due to the WWII years. During the airplane production years; was there in intermittant design which went into production for only a short time after automotive production began again? Thanks for your time.

Answer: Another source is Ford Motor Company.com They can link you with archives and you can muddle your way from there. The site is a wealth of information but it is sometimes rather difficult to navigate. If you are new you might enjoy some of the discoveries that you make along the way, I did.

There are endless English courses available in all the English speaking countries and there are also many English schools in countries where English is not the native language. You can attend your local academy, pay for a private teacher, go to an academy that gives you a computer based course or maybe you are lucky enough to receive in-company classes.

Now, in times of recession, Moving on Courses has decided to offer a curious variation on in-company classes. This may sound like nothing more than a free holiday for the English teachers but given the extra services that this innovative English language school wishes to include, it has the look of a serious hotel English course.

Furthermore, Moving on Courses has long offered its English teachers the chance to go on an English holiday in a very similar way i.e. they send the teachers to the homes of English students all over the world.
