Question: What are some facts about the Mongol Genghis Khan That Prove He was not the best ruler?

Im doing a “WANTED” poster for my social studies class, im in 7th grade. I need facts that say Genghis Khan was not a good ruler. Things like how many people he killed and such. Thanks!

Answer: There’s no wrong way to answer this question, because what makes the best or worst ruler is entirely a matter of culture and opinion. Some people would see the fact that he killed millions as the reason he was fit to be ruler, so all you have to do is find any facts about him and express them in a way that sounds bad to your audience. That’s how politics work.

Here’s a fact to get you started. He had over 500 wives and so many children that in some parts of asia as much as 8% of population still has alleles from his y chromosome. He has as about 16 million descendants living today, or .5% of the world’s male population.

Question: What is the leaf crown thing on top of Julius Caesars head?

He is wearing it in most the pictures or statues of himself.

Answer: it is a Laurel wreath

A laurel wreath is a circular wreath made of interlocking branches and leaves of the Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis, Lauraceae), an aromatic deciduous evergreen. In Greek mythology, Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his head. In ancient Greece wreaths were awarded to victors, both in athletic competitions, including the ancient Olympics, and in poetic meets; in Rome they were symbols of military victory, crowning a successful commander during his triumph. Whereas ancient laurel wreaths are depicted as a horseshoe shape, modern versions are usually complete rings.

In common modern idiomatic usage it refers to a victory. The expression “resting on one’s laurels” refers to someone relying on their past success to cover up their current shoddy efforts.

Don’t you hate it when you accidentally stab yourself – especially when you are trying to make a point about safety with sharp instruments? All you can do is confess and move on.A couple of weeks back, I lamented the trivialization of the English language with trendy terms and stale statements. Right in the middle of it, I used the word “psychobabble.” Fortunately, I have readers to remind me …
