Jimi Hendrix Biography Books

Question: Good autbiography/biography books?

Hey I'm trying to read more and I like rock music so anyone know any good books by or about led zep, jimi hendrix, etc?

Answer: "Wonderland Avenue" by Danny Sugarman - it's actually the autobiography of a producer who worked with the Doors and Iggy Pop. Very insightful and interesting, speaking of drugs, glamour, and excess.

If you like the Doors, I reccommend books by the members: "Light my Fire" by Ray Manzarek or "Break on Through" by Johnny Densmore

"The Heroine Diaries" by Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue is very interesting

"I'm With the Band" by Pamela Debarres - autobiography of a groupie who degraded herself for sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Discusses various affairs she's had, including those with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin.

If you like Janis Joplin, try "Love, Janis" by her sister Laura Joplin, or "Buried Alive" by Myra Friedman

"Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles R Cross - most famous biography of Kurt Cobain

I am currently reading a book called "The Rolling Stone Interviews." It's a compilation of interviews of people such as Pete Townsend, Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, and more. Good stuff.

James Dean in Tales of Tomorrow: The Evil Within - Season 2, Episode 35 (1953)
