I know that Vercingetorix and Julius Caesar are real historical characters. And the conquer of Gaul by the Romans is also true.
But, I'm curious about the culture that is shown in the comic:

Answer: Caesar was coming off 10 years as a proconsul in Gaul where he was immune from prosecution as long as he held his proconsular imperium. His enemies in Rome were planning to prosecute him for alleged (and in large part real) illegalities prior to going to Gaul and for grossly overstepping his authority while in Gaul. His options were to lay down his imperium and get buried by his enemies in Rome or to march on Rome with his troops and take the place over. He chose the latter, and not without precedent, Sulla having done much the same a couple of decades earlier.
The story of his assassination is mostly myth and legend but "stopped fighting" isn't exactly correct. The custom of Romans was to not allow your face to be visible to your enemies as you died in battle or, as here, while being assassinated. It had a long history. Once you knew it was hopeless you drew your toga over your face so your enemies couldn't see your agony and "death face".

Question: Julius Caesar questions?

I have a couple of questions as far as Shakespeares play for Julius caesar. If Caesar wasn't fertile and nor his wife, Calpurnia, why couldn't Caesar get married to another woman? What was so important about Cassius complaining to Brutus about money not being accepted by Brutus? Was it because Cassius thought Brutus wasn't as trustworthy as ever? I'm still having confusion as to why Antony couldn't have killed Cassius, Brutus, and all the conspirators whom stabbed Caesar at the Capitol. Lastly, if Portia really wanted to know what her husband, Brutus, was doing at the Capitol, why couldn't she just go check it out herself? Was it because of her illness or was it because she didn't want her husband to see her spying on him?

Answer: Okay,
If Caesar wasn't fertile and nor his wife, Calpurnia, why couldn't Caesar get married to another woman?:
*Well, he truley loved Calpurnia and to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if he did not want children. I say this because he had such a large ego that he probably could not stand the thought of someone else taking over someday.*
I'm still having confusion as to why Antony couldn't have killed Cassius, Brutus, and all the conspirators whom stabbed Caesar at the Capitol.:
*Because he was much wiser than that. By causing a war, the citizens of Rome disliked the conspiritors also. If Antony had simply killed him, noone would really understand why, due to the chaos that would occur.*

*I think she must have known in the back of her mind what was going to happen but wanted to think that her husband would not do such a thing as murder Caesar. And so, I believe she chose to stay away from the capitol, hope for the best, and when she found out about the murder, she would think a very good reason for why it had to happen. This is so, because Brutus and Portia are crazy in love and love, as they say, makes people do crazy things. Even not stopping a murder from taking place.*
I love the play, but keep in mind that these are just my opinions and no one really knows the exact answers.

Question: What kind of a leader was Julius Caesar?

All I know about Caesar is that he was murdered. Was he doing a good job for society when the Senate decided to take over?
Laura, he was murdered because he was granted the power to govern until his death. The Senate wanted his power, but that doesn't illustrate what type of leader he was.

Answer: Julius Caesar is a facinating character in history. His rise to power was marked with corruption, bribery and strong arm tactics. After he conquered the nation of Gaul a civil war broke out between himself and his political and military rival Pompey. As a general his men were fiercely loyal to him, he marched side by side with them, ate the same rations and slept in the same bedding. He allowed his men to take whatever they wanted from conquered territories making some very rich. After defeating Pompey at the battle of Pharsalus, he returned to Rome a hero. The common people absolutely loved him, he put on the most lavish games (gladatorial fights) the population had ever seen, increase the bread and grain rations, forgave the debts of many people and even handed out money to the poor. He began building projects to increase the glory of the city (which the people loved) and was plannning an invasion of Parthia (middle east) before he was murdered. To become the ruler of Rome he used extremely illegal activities, but once he was there, he was a fantastic general and statesman.

i guess you could tell thousands of things, i just want to know some If i am right the word germanic was created by Julius Cäsar, to describe the people living on the right side of the rhine river. And if i am also right, he wrote that there were clearly notes things to classify in celtics and germanics. So what were some cleary notes to differ in celtics and germanics? And some similarities?

The Era of Early Christianity

Paul the Apostle came from a time very different from our own. To understand what he had to fight against and how difficult his struggle was, let's take a moment to acquaint ourselves with the era of early Christianity, specifically at the time Christ was still alive, and just thereafter.

Early Christianity was considered an intimate fellowship with the common meal or sacrament at its heart. But Jews, who made up the vast majority at these times in Asia Minor, were forbidden by purity laws during early Christianity to share meals with Gentiles, and even many Christian Jews were hesitant to break this law.

Even though Jesus had taught that purity of heart was more important than these laws, still his followers did not abandon all Jewish traditions.

Development of early Christianity & Jewish laws

In Antioch, during early Christianity the congregation of Christians was mixed between Jews and Gentiles and the Jews, for the most part, had agreed to dine with the Gentiles out of Christian fellowship.

In Jerusalem, the situation was different. This was the city that had stoned Stephen to death. Christians there had to be especially careful to show respect for Jewish law. Many of the Jewish converts in Jerusalem, some of whom were former Pharisees like Apostle Paul, even insisted that Gentiles should accept circumcision, as required under Jewish law.

Reports about the liberal behavior of Jewish Christians eating with Gentile Christians in Antioch, began to give rise to a controversy that lasted for several years.

Apostle Paul started his travel and missionary journeys

After establishing himself in Antioch, Apostle Paul began his extraordinary years of travel and vast missionary work. Paul's work in bringing people, especially Gentiles to Christianity showed phenomenal energy and dedication.

The government officials of Rome found that converts to Christianity, like the Jews, refused to sacrifice to the emperor as a god, as all Roman citizens were expected to do. Not only that, but they openly prophesied the downfall of the Roman state.

The Christian religion interfered with good citizenship, since it kept them from showing the proper respect for both the emperor and his government. While the Roman government had always been fairly tolerant in matters of religion, the Christians were different - an apparent threat to the authority of the state.

As a result, they were cruelly persecuted. No doubt you've heard the term "Throw the Christians to the Lions." which became a common practice at Roman stadium events. Even still, the number of Christians in the Roman empire grew steadily.

These numbers grew in part because there was no faith in the western world that could offer to people what Christianity offered - its promise of an eternal life of beauty; with its fellowship on earth, full of human compassion and brotherhood.

Moreover, these blessings were available to everyone - the slave and the freeman, the humble worker and the aristocrat, the educated and cultured, the poor and the outcast. As time passed, multitudes learned of the new gospel, until, by the second century, it was far outstripping other religions of the Roman Empire.
