Question: How much is the book Julius Caesar volume X by Jacob Abbott valued at ?

This book is a part of the Famous Characters of History Series Illustrated with photo gravures on Japan vellum. It consists of hand painted reproductions, famous history paintings and rare engravings. This immortal edition was privately printed for subscribers by St. Hubert Guild, New York 1906.

It consists of following illustrations:
1. The death of Caesar
2. The battle of Pharsalia, Caesar defeats Pompey
3. Mark Antony's oration on the death of Caesar

I would value this book very highly indeed. It seems to be informative, beautiful and rare - all qualities prized by a man of reason. But I assume you want to know the base value of how much money it is worth.
I would say that a book like this should be valued at at least £70 ($130) and that you should take it to an expert to get it's true monetary value. In a specialist auction you could get a small fortune for it, at a garage sale maybe a few coins - it depends on the market. eBay may be worth considering but I am sure you can get a better price elsewhere.
