Julius Caesar Rise And Fall
Question: Can you help me make a poem about the history of Rome?
Can you help me make a poem about the history of Rome? I'm really weak in making poems and this is a project in my school. Th poem has to be about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Including the first and secong triumvirate, the death of Julius Caesar, etc. Please and thanks. =)
Answer: Hey SM, you're in a better position that a lot of your prospective answers I bet, who may not know Roman history as well as you do, for a start.
And I've got my hand raised here. I'm for sure one of the uneducated!
Romulus and Remus, a bit of Nero fiddling, Christians, lions and a chariot race and that's me - spent. I've been to Rome though. If you want someone to come up with the goodies, may I suggest you put a timeline with the main characters in chronolgical order in your question? That might help, since at least it would cut that nasty research. It will certainly help you, if you get no takers, since I suspect that's the way you should approach the poem anyway, no?
I hope this helps in some small way, and I'll come back to this question (without actually having a conversation of course).
DVD: Me and Orson Welles (12A)
Richard Linklater's very straightforward, refreshingly so, drama revolves around Orson Welles's memorable 1937 Mercury Theatre production of Julius Caesar, set in Mussolini's fascist Italy.
